Guiding MCMGA
If you love to collaborate and are interested in helping MCMGA grow and prosper, a leadership role might be for you. In addition to the board of directors there are lots of ways to engage and fulfill volunteer hours. Reach out to board members or our Purdue Extension ANR educator if you’d like to pursue any of these options. In the case of committee assignments, please know that committee chairs make final assignments based on matching needs with volunteer skills.
Education Committee - Members identify, review, and select speakers for monthly educational meetings and field trips.
Garden Fair Committee - The Garden Fair committee is comprised of the following working groups: Exhibitors/Vendors, Garden Thyme Cafe, Gardening Everything Booth, Plant Sales Booth, Garden Activity Booth, Front Entry, Publicity, Donors/Contributors.
Membership Committee
Grant Program Committee - Members develop and distribute the timeline and application materials, review and select applicants, manage the distribution of funds and follow-up awardee documentation of projects.
