Member Profiles
Meet some of our Monroe County Master Gardeners. We are a diverse and lively group with many different life experiences, but we share a passion for all things green and growing in the natural world. Reading through these, perhaps you’ll stumble across someone you just have to seek out because of a shared interest in water gardens. Or, you’ll come to appreciate another gardeners’ years of volunteer service at Hilltop Garden and Nature Center at Indiana University. Linda Heath
Linda’s interest in plants of historical significance guided her input to the creation of the Shakespeare Garden at IU’s HIlltop Garden and Nature Center.

As an IU student, Deb volunteered at Hilltop Nature and Garden Center. Almost fifty years later, she’s back at it.

As Secretary on the MCMGA Board of Directors, Ed finds it rewarding to know the activities and decisions made by the Board further the association’s mission of ‘Helping Others Grow.’

While working full-time during the pandemic, Lino decided to become a Master Gardener. Getting to S Walnut Street in the evenings over several months would a challenge. Luckily, classes went online; it was an opportunity to make lemonade out of lemons!
